While accepting her 13th Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights, Taylor Swift teased her latest project: a new album named The Tortured Poets Department, which will be released on April 19.

‘I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I have been keeping from you for the last two years,’ the singer said, before announcing what will be her 11th studio album.

Shortly after leaving the stage, Swift then uploaded the cover of the upcoming album cover to X and Instagram, with a photo of lyrics that read: ‘And so I enter into evidence / My tarnished coat of arms / My muses, acquired like bruises / My talismans and charms / The tick, / tick, / tick, / of love bombs, / my veins of pitch black ink.’

Fans then took to social media to search Swift's appearance at the ceremony for clues that she may have made that nodded to her win. They deciphered that, alongside her monochromatic Schiaparelli gown, Swift also wore a necklace with a clock face on it, which was set to midnight. Swifties interpreted this subtle hint as a tribute to Midnights, for which she won the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.

This isn’t the first time Swift has announced new music on-stage at award shows. In 2022, Swift revealed that Midnights was coming while receiving Video Of The Year at the 2022 MTV Video Music awards.

Swift, who has been nominated for 52 Grammys over her career, also made history at this year's Grammys. The Eras singer won two gongs this year, including her fourth Album Of The Year win, making her the first person to ever win the coveted award four times.
