From the looks of it on Instagram stories, Ariana Grande added a new tattoo to her collection last night and it looks like it's her biggest one yet.

For context, she tweeted earlier this week about the 'Spirited Away' series, subtly revealing that she's ~into anime~, and that she and Pete enjoy it together. Who knew!

Then last night, she put a picture of the main character Chihiro on her story, followed by a description of the character and her best qualities.

'Chihiro's growth into a capable individual is a core factor to the movement of Spirited Away's plot. During her adventure in the Spirit World, she matures from an easily-scared girl with a child-like personality to match her age to a hard-working, responsible, and brave young girl who has learned to put her fears aside for those she cares for,' the description reads.

'To protect her friends and rescue her parents from a spell that has turned them into livestock, Chihiro sheds her former personality and adapts to her environment to become a courageous, quick-witted and reliable girl.'

It may seem a little random, but it becomes clearer when remembering that the past year has been one of major change for Ariana. She's released a very personal album, survived a major terrorist attack, broken up with long-time boyfriend Mac Miller, gotten engaged to Pete Davidson in a whirlwind romance, moved into a new apartment in New York... need I go on?

It makes sense that she'd relate to a character who has to shed her former self to become someone more courageous for those around her, right?

Here's the final (amazing) tattoo:
