Of the many highlights at the coronation of King Charles III – from Prince George carrying his grandfather's robes, Kate Middleton's striking Alexander McQueen look and Princess Charlotte's first tiara, to Queen Camilla's sweet tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II, and of course, the historic crowning itself – there was one that beat them all: Prince Louis.

From the moment the five-year-old royal arrived to Westminster Abbey for the official coronation ceremony, he provided endless entertainment to onlookers and viewers alike – and we couldn't be more delighted.

Ever the cheekiest child of the British royal family, the young Prince started the historic day off with a big yawn, as he arrived alongside his sister Princess Charlotte, and parents Kate Middleton and William, Prince of Wales.

He entered the Abbey hand in hand with his sister, who wore a white outfit and tiara by Alexander McQueen to match her mother's. The young Prince must have been up all night with excitement, as he gave yet another yawn just as the ceremony itself kicked off, while also curiously looking around and pointing out interesting details of the ceremony to his sister. He also joined in with the National Anthem, joining the congregation with his own enthusiastic rendition with his arms glued to his sides.

Prince Louis was later snapped waving enthusiastically to onlookers as he departed the Abbey with his family in a gilded carriage – before flashing cameras a hilariously stroppy look from behind the carriage windows.

Our favourite moment, however, had to be seeing the sweet royal join the wider family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, where he waved to the crowds and pointed excitedly to the skies during the flypast. All we can say is, Prince Louis: you made the day.
