Nicola Coughlan and Lydia West, aka the stars of Channel 4's latest comedy sitcom Big Mood, are a duo that can easily make you stop and listen, be it with their up-beat and hilarious interactions or heartfelt explorations of the show's mental illness theme.

The six-part series, out now, follows Maggie (Coughlan) and Eddie (West), whow are two thirty-something best friends navigating life amid mounting work, life and mental health pressures.

Ahead of the show's release, the pair played a game of Knowing Me Knowing You with ELLE UK, during which we got a glimpse into their sweet relationship, in addition to Coughlan's scarily accurate Britney Spears impersonation to West's Love Actually filming 'prep'.

During the game the pair reminisced about classic British films, with Coughlan correctly guessing which of their fellow Big Mood actors was a cast member of Bridget Jones' Diary.

'That was Sally Phillips, who plays Maggie's psychiatrist. She's the biggest legend, she’s so funny, so good,' she continued, 'It was so hard to film with her because Maggy is meant to be very depressed, but Sally is so funny and it was just such a joy to act against her.'

West then revealed she had never seen any of the Bridget Jones' Diary franchise films, which she explained resulted in the show's creator Camilla Whitehall teasing her for not 'having a proper childhood'.

The It's A Sin star also admitted that she had never seen Love Actually, and only came to watch it for the first time while preparing for one of the episodes where Eddie surprises Maggie with a Love Actually themed birthday party.
