John Legend has a talent for delivering soul-stirring romance and emotion through his music videos. In 2013, the singer highlighted his heart-melting relationship with wife Chrissy Teigen in "All of Me," and now he's showing off his adorable baby in his latest video for his new single, "Love Me Now."

The touching clip, directed by Nabil Elderkin, captures the happy couple as they share tender moments together with their precious daughter, Luna. Alongside the Legend family, the video features intimate vignettes of other couples from four locations around the world that have been marked by tragedy and hardship this year: Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota, Orlando, Florida, Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, and the Domiz Refugee Camp in Northern Iraq.

"This video shows how love can be shared in some of the most difficult situations on earth in which the human spirit and connection with each other prevails," Elderkin explained in a statement. "From one of the longest standing refugee camps in northern Iraq just 45 miles outside of Mosul, to Standing Rock Reservation, where they are fighting against the Dakota Access Pipeline that threatens their sacred lands and all of our water, it is a glimpse into these couples' lives and the lives of those in their communities."

The sentiment is particularly relevant given the uncertain political climate that this presidential election has created. On Thursday, Legend took to Instagram to speak out about the election results and advocate hope, adding "I will continue to be aware and vigilant. I will continue to speak out for justice." He prefaced Friday's release of the "Love Me Now" video with this powerful message:

We didn't think about the election when we planned the release date for this song and video. But in this time of conflict and uncertainty, it's clear that we all need more love. I find it in my family and in my music. Embracing my family has made today full of love and light despite the bad news. But it's also important that we show love and empathy to people who may not look like us or live like us. Those who are marginalized and rejected, feared and left behind… From Standing Rock to Iraq, from Orlando to the DR. Love is universal. We all need it. We all can give it. And it will ultimately win over hate. I have to believe that."
