Celebrities Wearing Face Masks During The Coronavirus Pandemic
From Bella Hadid to Meghan Markle
From Friday July, 24th, wearing a face mask was made mandatory in enclosed public spaces in England.
The government's recent pivot came after they previously just recommended their use. Now, everyone in England must wear a mask in shops, takeaways, indoor shopping centres, banks and transport hubs or risk a fine. In Scotland, face masks have been compulsory in shops since July 10th.
The latest moves follows earlier announcements that masks are compulsory on public transport and for hospital visitors.
For other countries, mask-wearing has been strongly advised since the pandemic began - the CDC recommended Americans wear masks in early April.
And while the peak of the pandemic may have now passed in many countries, fears over a second spike remain - particularly if people begin to take the threat of Covid-19 less seriously. This has led to a social media movement #WearADamnMask, in which Instagram users share a selfie of themselves in a mask and nominate others to do the same. Several celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Kourtney Kardashian and Beanie Feldstein have taken part.
Many celebrities have also been spotted out and about - on socially distanced walks - wearing masks, including the likes of the Duchess of Cambridge, Jennifer Lawrence, Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber and Dua Lipa.
See a selection of the famous (partial) faces in masks below. And if you need more advice on where to buy or how to make a mask, we've got you covered.
