If there's anything that recent events (the Beeb pay-gap scandal, the Oxfam scandal, and, of course, the scandal to end all scandals involving The Producer Who Shall Not Be Named) has shown us, it's that pushing for gender equality and, y'know, the basic human right for women not to be objectified and intimidated in the workplace, is more important than ever. So the return of the Southbank Centre's ace Women of the World festival couldn't come at a better time. And this year's line-up of talks, comedy, debate and performance came to slay, with the likes of Munroe Bergdorf, Afua Hirsch, Sandi Toksvig, Ruby Wax, Dr Helen Pankhurst, and Everyday Sexism's Laura Bates (to name a few). Go, get inspired, make change.
