Just last week, the rumour mill was working overtime to suggest that Taylor Swift and Drake might be dating and we, for one, weren't entirely convinced.
After all, Tay Tay seems to have been enjoying the single life in recent months, having been spotted on girl dates with BFFs Martha Hunt, Cara Delevingne and Karlie Kloss, supporting her bestie Gigi Hadid at New York Fashion Week and making up with her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris. All in all, life appears to have been on the up for Swifty.
And it's about to get a whole lot better, if rumours among fans of a Hiddleswift reconciliation prove to be true.
According to hopeful T-Swift fans, Taylor chartered her private plane to London this weekend. And yes, this could just be because she's planning on doing some early Christmas shopping or organising a trip to Legoland but eager Swift aficionados suspect she's flown back to Blighty to patch things up with her former beau, Tom Hiddleston.
After all, this is a guy who swept her off her feet at the Met Ball earlier this year, walked hand-in-hand with her along the beach – for crying out loud, the man wore a 'I heart T.S.' T-shirt without a hint of sarcasm. If that's not love then what is?
According to superfan Lainey Lui (of Lainey Gossip), the real reason for Swift's arrival all boils down to which London airport she flew into.
Lainey wrote: 'So here's the speculation: Tom Hiddleston apparently wrapped on Thor 3 in Australia a few days ago. He was not at the wrap party, but neither were Chris Hemsworth or other major members of the cast. But you know how Taylor's fans track her plane?
Which is also where her plane landed when she and Tom Hiddleston went to visit his family back in Buckinghamshire during the summer. Typically when Taylor goes to London she uses Luton airport.'
We're pretty sure this is the first time in history that Stansted airport has become such a talking point, however, it's important to note that Taylor is allowed to enter the UK without speculation of seeing an ex-boyfriend. I mean, sometimes a girl just wants to visit Oxford Street Topshop for the day.
While we'd love rumours of a Taylor and Tom reunion to be true, sadly, we have a feeling her eager fans' theories are just that – theories.
