Kristen Stewart may be busy starring in the upcoming Charlie’s Angels film, but she has another film under her belt.

Stewart is starring in the action-adventure film Underwater, which tells the story of a dangerous deep dive mission. She plays the character Norah, who is an underwater researcher working seven miles beneath the waves. At what first seems like an earthquake that devastates the lab, the team are forced to take extreme measures to survive. They soon all learn that what caused the damage might be something far more dangerous.

William Eubank is directing the film and is working from a script by Brian Duffield and Adam Cozad, according to Empire. Jessica Henwick, John Gallagher Jr, Vincent Cassel, Mamoudou Athie and TJ Miller star alongside Stewart in the film.

The actress and Chanel muse clearly has a busy acting schedule - the remake of Charlie's Angels, in which she stars, premieres in November.

The 2019 adaptation will re-tell the iconic tale of female spies, this time with a feminist spin. As well as Stewart, this year's breakout stars Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska will also star in the film. Scott plays Jasmine in the new live-action version of Aladdin, while Balinska has mostly television credits under her belt, including Casualty and Midsomer Murders.

Elizabeth Banks is directing the remake, and Stewart previously pointed out that Banks' adaptation of Charlie’s Angels will differ hugely from the films that were made back in the early 2000s, which originally starred Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore.

Underwater will premiere in UK cinemas on 10 January 2020.
