The ELLE Running Club is jetting off to Cannes (by way of Nice) for the 7th Marathon des Alpes-Maritimes (or the French Riviera Marathon to you and me). Joining 13,000 runners, we'll be making tracks from Nice to Cannes, stopping off briefly in Antibes to exchange runners. Considered one of the last marathons of the season, the IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) bronze label race is second in France only to Paris (April), its point-to-point course hugging the coastline, nestled beautifully between shining sea and snow-capped mountains. Runners can chose from either the full 42.2km distance, the 2 x 21.1km (that's us!), or Relay Marathon— a unique formula allowing teams made-up of varying abilities to run individual distances of 3 to 11 kilometres— making for an upbeat, inclusive marathon experience.
